Ada has never been able to leave her family's tiny apartment. Unable to walk due to a foot abnormality, Ada is not allowed to go outside and only views the world through a window. In her new, but temporary, home, Ada finally gets a sense of freedom and hope that she never felt with her mother. Will her happiness last or, once the war ends, will she be sent back to the unhappy life she ran away from?
