The Lost Treasure of Tuckernuck

Eighty years ago, when Tuckernuck Hall middle school first opened, principal Maria Tutweiler gave the first students there a challenge that would lead them to an amazing hidden treasure. Eighty years later, as sixth grader Laurie Madison begins Tuckernuck, the puzzle leading to the hidden treasure has yet to be solved. Laurie is initially unhappy to be attending Tuckernuck while her best friend is at a different middle school, but when she and classmate Bud Wallace accidentally find a clue to the hidden treasure, school becomes more exciting for both of them. However, Tuckernuck Hall is in danger of being closed. The only thing that can save the school is the hidden treasure, if it really exists. Will they find it before it's too late?
This entertaining, fast-paced mystery is full of adventure as well as many humorous characters. As I was reading this story, I frequently found myself wanting to solve the clues! This is a good choice for readers who enjoy mysteries.
